Since 2011, we’ve had a dream to plant a church. But in the fall of 2016, while driving through the Rocky Mountains in Ethan’s Jeep, that dream began to take shape.

During our drive, we were discussing how much we loved Red Rocks Church and began to dream about planting a church just like it one day. As we talked, it became clear that our dream would go much further if we aligned it with the vision of Red Rocks. So we got a crazy idea to call our Pastor Shawn, explain our dream, and pitch him the idea of letting us go to a new city to plant a Red Rocks Church.

What we didn’t know, is at the same time, God was speaking to Shawn. Before we had a chance to make the call, Shawn reached out to us and spent an hour pitching the exact same idea!

And so the planning began. Over the next few months, we visited several amazing cities, but none of them stuck out as much as Austin, Texas. There is a reason Austin is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. It is an incredible place full of inspiring people, delicious food, and fantastic live music. After just one visit, we knew it was the perfect city for Red Rocks Church!

We love this city and the people in it. It’s become our home, and we are dedicated to being here and building a front porch to welcome home those who feel far from God.
